Elise Haas is a compelling investigative reporter and storyteller for KOIN 6 News in Portland, Oregon. She joined the team in 2018.

She’s served as the fill-in anchor on all of the station’s newscasts. 

While in Portland, she’s investigated JP Morgan Chase & Co, La Mota Cannabis, former Secretary of State Shemia Fagan, the Oregon State Hospital, Multnomah County’s Housing Authority, and covered historic protests, ranging from Occupy ICE PDX to the months-long Black Lives Matter movement that garnered national headlines. 

Previously,  Elise worked as a reporter and anchor in Tri-Cities, Washington. She was responsible for pitching and turning promotable stories for the evening newscasts.

While in the Tri-Cities, she covered national breaking news events like the emergency at the Hanford Nuclear Site after the tunnel collapse, the deadly school shooting at Freeman High south of Spokane, as well as sharing localized stories of victims in the Las Vegas Massacre and Texas church shooting.
